MOUNT CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH LOCATED IN ABINGDON, VIRGINIA

Being led of the lord in 1987 to begin a new work, a place where sinners could seek a savior and Gods people could grow in grace. We started in a store front building in the Wyndale community with six people. Some few years later with the help of Grady Mullins we were able to move into better facilities known as Heaven's Gate Baptist Church. In 1994 after our congregation had grown, God blessed us with our present facility, which we named Mount Calvary Baptist Church. With the generous donation of adjoining land by Carl & Vivian Warren we are now able to have sufficient parking and a recently completed fellowship hall.
